The hidden beauty
We have the Abel Tasman National park and the Heaphy Track but there are also some great local walks that only the locals know about - try exploring the Grampians walks - fantastic views over the city and the Tasman Bay - the Queens and Miyazu Gardens -both little oasis in the city - the golden sands of Tahuna Beach.

Nelson festivals are renowned for celebrating all that is local to us - time your visit to enjoy our festivals - in Winter there is the Te Ramaroa Festival of Light, Spring we have the Nelson Arts Festival, Summer is a whole festival - with the likes of Bay Dreams, Sarau Festival, Marchfest and the Evolve Festival Nelson to mention a few.
